About Erum 

Putting customers first – always – is Erum Ali’s philosophy when it comes to her real estate career. Boasting an impressive background in sales and marketing spanning 25 years, plus high level tertiary qualifications in economics and business, Erum offers a great deal of skill and expertise to her real estate clients.

Erum is a graduate of the London School of Economics and also holds a postgraduate qualification in Business Administration from Auckland Institute of Studies. Her sales and marketing career, which includes running her own successful international business, has encompassed a number of different industries including fashion, media and construction. Real estate was a natural next step and her eye for design (she has designed costumes for movies and films) means that Erum can often recommend thoughtful changes that can be made to a home to improve its sale value in the eyes of purchasers. The fact she has written for newspapers means Erum is a dab hand at writing compelling descriptions and advertisements for her clients, as well as capitalizing on technology, to maximize the opportunity for their home to gain a premium.

Erum has an absolute passion for houses. This sees her always keeping up to date with what is happening in the market and, even in her spare time, scanning the latest home listings and design trends. She relishes the opportunity to connect with a wide variety of clients from first homebuyers, to growing families and people upgrading, to those downsizing their home. It is helping people find their dream home and move on with the next phase of their life to live their happily-ever-after that is Erum’s key motivation. Combining passion with vision, Erum’s creative and professional approach inevitably helps her clients to fulfil their property dreams.

Known for her truthful, honest and hard working approach, Erum is a big believer in positivity and gaining a reputation as an agent people are happy to recommend to their friends and family. Her diverse multi cultural background means Erum can easily relate to people from many different walks of life.

Outside of work Erum can be found playing golf, horse riding, meditating, doing yoga, walking in nature and writing creatively.  She enjoys inspiring others and works part time as a life coach. Erum is also a keen supporter of her local community and has volunteered for the Cancer Foundation and Amitabha Hospice Service. She has helped to raise funds for the Breast Cancer Foundation New Zealand Pink Ribbon appeal.

Raymond Mountford

Raymond Mountfort enjoys being part of the Bayleys team. As the Regional GM of the South and East Auckland region, he uses his local knowledge and extensive client base to achieve success in Country, Commercial and Residential sales.

‘Clients wishing to sell their property need to know my teams can structure a deal and close it’.  After continually producing winning results in a challenging market, he is confident of this ability.

Raymond has a huge involvement in the wider Auckland area, where he has always lived. He participates in many local activities including Counties Rugby, Racing and in the past, Motorsport. These bring a lot of transferrable skills to his sales approach and he finds he is often well known to our purchasers and vendors.

Raymond has always enjoyed coaching and team leadership and finds that the high performance culture at Bayleys provides the perfect environment for success. 

As the GM of Sales and Coaching for the wider Auckland BRE Residential team, Raymond works with the Management team and their rising stars.  This senior role also provides an opportunity to have input with key strategies and initiatives to deliver outstanding results to the market.


Lyn Penney

Lyn has recently transitioned from a Licensed Salesperson role in the Pukekohe office to the role of Sales Manager at Bayleys Papakura.

No stranger to Management, Lyn previously held roles as Branch Manager at both the ANZ & National Bank and while working for the Police Force in Wales.

As an energetic, motivated, and reliable individual, her work history to date has given her the ability to develop a range of skills that are demanded in leadership positions across a variety of industries.

Having successfully led various sized teams and achieved positive outcomes she has excellent leadership qualities and uses these to create an environment where people feel motivated to challenge themselves and develop their capabilities. Over the 5-½ years that she held various Management positions in the ANZ she enjoyed helping them change to meet new environmental conditions.

Lyn has a strong sense of community and is a passionate follower of sport, in particular rugby which she played while living in Wales. She is a member of the senior rugby committee at Karaka Rugby Club where she is also the senior club registrar and club delegate for the Counties Manukau Rugby Union.
